Three Goal Shooting Drill

Drill Objective:

This is a great soccer shooting drill for getting rapid shots on multiple goals and is also a great source of fitness.

Drill Setup:

  • On half of a field with a normal goal, set two portable goals on each sidelines about 15 yards from midfield. You will be using all 3 goals for this drill.
  • Put a goalkeeper in each of the 3 goals.
  • The rest of the team starts at midfield, each player with a ball.
  • All of the spare balls should be distributed among each of the 3 goals.

Drill Instructions:

  1. The first player in line dribbles toward the goal on the right sideline and takes a shot on goal.
  2. The keeper then distributes the ball to the outside of the cone towards the main goal.
  3. The shooter receives the ball from the keeper and shoots on the main goal.
  4. The keeper then distributes the ball to the outside of the cone towards the left goal.
  5. The shooter receives the ball from the keeper and shoots on the left goal.
  6. The keeper then distributes the ball around the cone towards midfield.
  7. The shooter receives the ball and dribbles to midfield to the back of the line.
  8. The next player in line starts once the goalkeeper on the right side distributes the ball to the shooter.

Drill Coaching Points:

  • Speed of play
  • Good shot on goal
  • Shooting form

Drill Variations
